Reminder: VA Education Monthly Enrollment Verification (Post-9/11 GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, & Chapter 35 DEA)

Flyer for Reminder: VA Education Monthly Enrollment Verification (Post-9/11 GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, & Chapter 35 DEA)
Monthly reminder for students using VA education benefits: most VA education programs require you to verify your enrollment at the end of every month to keep your payments coming. This includes the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33), Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty (MGIB-AD, Chapter 30), Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR, Chapter 1606), and Survivors' & Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA, Chapter 35). Each month you'll confirm two things: your credit or clock hours, and the start and end dates of your enrollment for that month. Ways to verify: (1) Online — sign in at VA.gov (Verify your school enrollment) with a verified Login.gov or ID.me account; (2) By text — reply to VA's monthly text if you opted in; (3) By email — VA emails the address on file if you don't use text; (4) Through Ask VA — include your enrollment dates in the message; or (5) By phone at 888-442-4551 (TTY: 711), Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. ET. For Post-9/11 GI Bill students receiving a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) or kicker payment, VA pauses those monthly payments after two consecutive months without verification. Note: STEM Scholarship users can't verify by email. Keep your current U.S. mobile number and email on file so you receive the prompts.
