Our Promise Comes First
Veterans OneSource™ exists to serve Veterans, Veteran Families, and their Survivors. Every choice we make about what appears on this site starts there. We built this page so you can see exactly how our listings work, who our Partners are, and what a Sponsor’s support does (and does not) buy. No hidden strings, no fine print traps. When money is involved, we tell you, and we keep it in one clearly marked place.
General Listings
Our general listings and links are editorial and free. We choose them because they help our community, not because anyone paid to be there. We accept no referral fees or compensation for these listings, and inclusion does not imply endorsement. If a resource earns a spot, it earns it on merit alone.
Partners
Our Partners are organizations that give back to the Veteran community. They offer free or reduced-cost services to Veterans and their Families, and they help promote our resources on their own websites. It is a two-way street built on shared mission, not a transaction. Partners do not pay for placement, and their events appear in the appropriate category on our Partners page as a service to you.
Sponsors
Our Sponsors support this free service through donations that help fund our mission. Think of a Sponsor as a neighbor chipping in to keep the lights on, not an advertiser buying a billboard. Sponsored placements appear only on our Sponsors page, and they are clearly labeled so you always know what you are looking at.
A donation to Veterans OneSource™ does the following
- Helps cover the cost of providing free resources to Veterans, Veteran Families, and their Survivors.
- Earns the Sponsor recognition on our clearly labeled Sponsors page.
A donation does NOT do any of the following
- Constitute an endorsement of the Sponsor by Veterans OneSource™.
- Guarantee favorable placement anywhere on this site.
- Influence our general listings or Partner selections.
- Exempt any organization from our standards.
Sponsorship Is Not Advertising
We draw a firm line between sponsorship and advertising, and we keep our Sponsors on the sponsorship side of it. Sponsor recognition is limited to name, logo, and a neutral link. You will not find promotional pitches, pricing, or sales calls to action dressed up as sponsorship. That line protects our integrity, and it keeps the arrangement clean for everyone involved.
The Standards No One Gets to Skip
Support does not buy a pass. We do not knowingly list, partner with, or accept sponsorship from any entity engaged in predatory lending, unauthorized claims assistance, pension poaching, deceptive recruiting, or any other practice that exploits Veterans, Veteran Families, or their Survivors. We screen every organization before it goes live, and we act when something does not measure up.
Veterans OneSource™ reserves the right to decline or remove any listing, Partner, or Sponsor at its sole discretion, including where we observe or are informed of practices inconsistent with our standards.
