Vicksburg sits on the bluffs above the Mississippi River, and its military history is written into the ground: Vicksburg National Military Park and Vicksburg National Cemetery run through the middle of the city. The military presence here is not only historical — the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, the Corps of Engineers' largest research organization, employs hundreds of engineers and scientists on Halls Ferry Road, and the Mississippi Valley Division of the Corps is headquartered downtown.
Service Members, Veterans, Military Spouses, and Military Families across Warren County are served by American Legion Allein Post 3 and Tyner-Ford Post 213, by the Warren County Veterans Service Office, and by the VA clinics and medical centers reachable in Jackson, 45 miles east.
This site is provided by Di Nola Consulting to assist Military Service Members, Veterans, and Military Spouses in discovering events, resources, opportunities, and their community throughout Vicksburg, Warren County, and west-central Mississippi.
Whether you're transitioning out of service, looking for career opportunities, seeking health and wellness support, or simply want to connect with your community, you'll find it here.
