Tomah sits at the center of western Wisconsin's Veteran community. The Tomah VA Medical Center has cared for Veterans here since 1928 and anchors a network of clinics across the Driftless region, while Fort McCoy trains Service Members from every branch a few miles to the east. Between them, the Monroe County Veterans Service Office, the county's VFW and American Legion posts, and the recreation programs along the Elroy-Sparta State Trail give Veterans, Service Members, and Military Families here a community that is easy to find and close to home.
