St. Ignace stands at the north end of the Mackinac Bridge, the gateway between Michigan’s two peninsulas and one of the oldest settlements in the state. Veterans here are served by Mackinac County Veteran services and by VA outreach that travels to the eastern Upper Peninsula, where distance to a medical center makes mobile clinics and community events especially valuable.
