Roy is a small village on the Harding County plains, above the Canadian River where it cuts through Mills Canyon and the Kiowa National Grassland. Harding County is one of the least populated counties in the United States, and there is no VA office for a long way in any direction. The New Mexico Department of Veterans' Services brings its Mobile Outreach Vehicle to the village offices so veterans and their families can file state and federal claims without making the drive.
