Keene anchors the Monadnock Region of southwestern New Hampshire, and its Veteran community is served by VFW Post 799, American Legion Gordon-Bissell Post 4, and Cheshire County Veteran Services. The nearest VA care is the Keene VA Clinic on Court Street, a community-based outpatient clinic of the Manchester VA Medical Center, with the White River Junction VA Medical Center across the Connecticut River in Vermont.
