Health care comes through the Battle Creek VA Medical Center a half-hour east, which covers 21 counties across southern and western Michigan and runs a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder programme, a substance abuse clinic and residential rehabilitation alongside its medical and psychiatric beds. Kalamazoo Veterans are also served by the Kalamazoo County Veterans Services office and active VFW and American Legion posts across the county.
