Georgetown sits high on the Georgetown Divide in El Dorado County, a Gold Rush town founded in 1849 and first known as Growlersburg. Its 1862 Civil War armory still stands on Main Street, and its Veteran community centers on Growlersburg VFW Post 9241 — a hall on Main Street, a park and campground on Veterans Way, and a monthly food bank that serves families across the Divide. Georgetown’s Founder’s Day parade, Fall Fest, and Veterans Day observances draw the whole Divide into town.
This site is provided by Di Nola Consulting to assist Military Service Members, Veterans, and Military Spouses in discovering events, resources, opportunities, and their community throughout Georgetown and the Georgetown Divide.
Whether you're transitioning out of service, looking for career opportunities, seeking health and wellness support, or simply want to connect with your community, you'll find it here.
