Beckley sits in the southern West Virginia coalfields and is home to the Beckley VA Medical Center on Veterans Avenue, which serves Veterans across eleven counties of southern West Virginia and into Virginia. The Raleigh County Veterans Museum, the West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance field office, and a dense network of VFW and American Legion posts round out the local support for Service Members, Veterans, and Military Families.
