Bangor sits on the Penobscot River in eastern Maine — the seat of Penobscot County and home to the 101st Air Refueling Wing of the Maine Air National Guard at Bangor Air National Guard Base, and to the Maine Troop Greeters, who have met arriving and departing troops at Bangor International Airport since 2003. The area is served by the Maine Bureau of Veterans' Services, the Bangor VA clinic and Vet Center under VA Maine Healthcare System (Togus), and active American Legion and VFW posts across the Penobscot Valley.
This site is provided by Di Nola Consulting to assist Military Service Members, Veterans, and Military Spouses in discovering events, resources, opportunities, and their community throughout Bangor and eastern Maine.
Whether you're transitioning out of service, looking for career opportunities, seeking health and wellness support, or simply want to connect with your community, you'll find it here.
