Athens is the county seat of Athens County and the heart of Southeast Ohio's Veteran community, home to Ohio University and its Veterans Center, which helps student Veterans and their dependents transition to college life. The area is served by the Athens VA Clinic in The Plains, part of the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, and by the Athens County Veterans Service Office, alongside VFW and American Legion posts and the Athens Area Stand Down. The surrounding Wayne National Forest and the Baileys Trail System give local Veterans groups room for outdoor and ecotherapy programming.
This site is provided by Di Nola Consulting to assist Military Service Members, Veterans, and Military Spouses in discovering events, resources, opportunities, and their community throughout Athens and Southeast Ohio.
Whether you're transitioning out of service, looking for career opportunities, seeking health and wellness support, or simply want to connect with your community, you'll find it here.
