The city is anchored by the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System (Manhattan, Brooklyn, and St. Albans campuses), the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, the NYC Department of Veterans' Services, and the New York State Division of Veterans' Services. Fort Hamilton, the metro area's only active-duty Army post, has its own community page at Brooklyn.
