Located just north of Anchorage, JBER is home to the 11th Airborne Division, the 3rd Wing (Air Force), and Alaskan Command — the joint headquarters responsible for the defense of Alaska and command of U.S. forces in the region. The installation spans over 64,000 acres and supports a large Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, and civilian workforce community.
