Submit Your EventFort Cavazos, renamed from Fort Hood in 2023, sits in Central Texas beside Killeen and is home to III Armored Corps, the 1st Cavalry Division, and Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. Many organizations on post still carry the Fort Hood name, so both appear in listings here. Events listed here take place on post — the USO center, the National Mounted Warrior Museum, unit and MWR facilities — so base access rules apply, and most need a DoD ID, a sponsor, or a visitor pass. Events in Killeen, Copperas Cove, and Harker Heights are listed under the Killeen hub.
