Service Members, Veterans, and Military Spouses here are served by the New Braunfels VA Clinic under the VA South Texas Health Care System, the Comal County Veterans Service Office, and the 7Ten Activity Center run by the Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation, which hosts a standing Veterans coffee. Joint Base San Antonio — Randolph and Fort Sam Houston are both a short drive south, and many of the families who serve there make their home in Comal County.
