The area is anchored by Aberdeen Proving Ground — the U.S. Army's oldest active proving ground — and served by the Perry Point VA Medical Center just across the river, part of the VA Maryland Health Care System, along with the Harford County Office of Veterans Affairs and active VFW and American Legion posts.
